Rosario Quispe, a Coya leader, created an enterprising woman’s organization called Warmi. This is located at the Argentinian – Bolivian border in the Jujuy Province of Argentina’s Puna region at an elevation of over 3500 m.

The film describes through the words of this notable woman the reason for creating Warmi, to handle small loans to Families or groups of Families to enable them to generate their own working projects. These loans are administered by the women, and must be paid back when the project starts being successful.

The idea is to generate economical independence in a region where life conditions are very difficult, but above all to generate the capacity to recover the identity of this autonomous folk, and enable them also to fight for the recovery of their land, and to insure the future of their descendants.
